Ryan Caplan

Founder & CEO

Mr. Caplan drives the growth, scalability and expansion of ColdLight with responsibility for operations, developing strategic alliances and partnerships, and capital formation. Prior to founding ColdLight, Mr. Caplan served as COO for Electronic Ink, a Philadelphia-based software design and development company where he identified new business/partner channels, implemented various efficiency practices and tools, and developed new product/service offerings.

Prior to Electronic Ink, he led an international product development team for Fidelity National Financial where he launched one of the world’s first real-time internet banking platforms. Mr. Caplan has also brought consultative leadership to some of the world’s largest companies including Oppenheimer Funds, Rohm & Haas, Aramark, Wyeth, MBNA and Lincoln Financial.

Dan Chisarick

Chief Architect

Mr. Chisarick has over fifteen years of enterprise design and architecture experience with deep knowledge of presentation tier and back end technologies. Prior to joining ColdLight, Mr. Chisarick served as Lead Architect for Fidelity National Information Services and Sanchez Computer Associates where he led the corporate BPEL/BPM strategy and designed, implemented and presented end-to-end integration strategies using Oracle BPEL and IBM Process Server. Mr. Chisarick was Oracle’s 2005 Web Developer of the Year.

Bruce Katz, Ph.D.

Chief AI Scientist

Dr. Katz has more than 20 years of expertise in designing and developing self-learning systems based on Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Katz received his Ph.D. in AI in 1990 from University of Illinois. Between 1990 and 1998 he was a lecturer on AI at the University of Sussex in the UK and serves as adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Katz’s recent publications include Neuroengineering the Future Virtual Minds and the Creation of Immortality. His articles have appeared in many prestigious journals and he is the author of the book Digital Design: From Gates to Intelligent Machines (2005, Charles River Media).
