Can I use Neuron if I’m not integrating it with an existing application?
Yes. Neuron can run as a stand-alone prescriptive intelligence solution or can be integrated with 3rd party solutions like commercial ERP systems, CRM systems or point solutions.
What do I need in order to get started?
All you need is historical data and business questions that you need answered. That’s it. Neuron handles the rest. It really is that simple.
How long does it take to get Prescriptive Intelligence out of Neuron from the time I first make my data available?
While it depends on the volume of data that Neuron has to learn, typically it takes no more than a few days to begin getting Prescriptive Intelligence from Neuron.
How frequently do I need to provide new data to Neuron?
The more frequently you provide new data to Neuron, the better. Each time you provide new information to Neuron, Neuron refines and improves its learning of your business. The more frequently that new training can occur, the more accurate the insights that are provided.
Does ColdLight provide any data for me to use?
In some cases, you may want to include dimensions of external data to your analysis. ColdLight can also offer you external data to fuse with your historical data (such as traffic, weather, financial market data and CDC data).
Does Neuron require any personally identifiable information to perform its analysis?
No. In fact, it is preferred that our partners not provide any personally identifiable information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, customer names or similar other sensitive data. Not only is it not necessary for Neuron to have this information to provide effective prescriptive insights; it is actually easier for Neuron if this information is not made available.
How does Neuron compare to traditional data analysis techniques?
Unlike traditional analytics tools, the machine intelligence automatically performs all the analysis for you, including choosing the right analytic techniques to employ for each business challenge. To do this, Neuron does the work of hundreds of statisticians simultaneously, in a fraction of the time that it would take its human counterparts. Do I need any special skills to use Neuron?
No. All the data analysis and predictive modeling is automatically provided by Neuron. All you need to do is provide data and your business questions and Prescriptive Intelligence is delivered to you in an intuitive, easy to use Graphical User Interface.
Can I embed Neuron into my dashboard or other software product?
Neuron’s Prescriptive Intelligence can be embedded in most products although the processing requires that any application embedding Neuron have an internet connection (since Neuron is run as a cloud service).
How does my data get from my company into Neuron?
We can provide you with a secure FTP connection (drop box) for your data, or in some cases, we can even connect directly to the native data source itself on your premises. Whatever is easiest for you. In addition, if you have your own data storage buckets in Amazon’s cloud, Neuron can access data right from there as well. We have adapters that can connect to most popular data sources automatically (including SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com, MySQL, SQL Server, Access, Excel, CSV and flat files) without the need for custom integration.
